1876 Panorama from Brooklyn Bridge
$25.99
On a cold January morning in 1876, photographer Joshua Beal wrestled his heavy camera equipment including a tripod and glass plate negatives up thirty stories to the top of the newly topped-out Brooklyn tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. Beal photographed five glass plate negatives, which combined, form a sweeping panorama of the city measuring 9 x 89 inches!
Note, due to abnormal dimensions of this panorama (originally in five sections) the panorama comes in two 5x19” sections, totaling 5x38”. We are happy to crop specific sections of the photo to fill a 13x19 frame – please email josh@nycurbanism.com for more info on custom orders.
